This is one of those cold spring days without sun.I can see more of my yard!!! It's not freezing cold.Do you think I am just ready for shirt sleeve weather, and I still have to wear a sweater! Hubby has the door open, he is changing the air pollution in here. OUT goes the BAD air!!!IN comes the BAD air! They claim indoor pollutants are worse for us than outdoor!
This Ain't exactly LA! We do have more traffic than we used to have, squared by about the power of 10, I think!
I am getting old! Seattle traffic never daunted me, much. I kind of relished the challenge! If the LEFT fender would fit....the whole durn car would go!!! I always hated a car full of dents! I was very careful to check my mirrors before pulling out in front of someone! Those Dents don't heal with time, they only heal with MONEY!
It is now against the law in WA. to have studded tires on your car. Last night they had a heavy snow fall in the Cascade Mountains. The passes are dangerous ;"Traction tires are required!!!" There is a high fine for having them and an equally high fine for NOT having them! I guess it is time to break out the tire chains.
I have a mental picture! We have had a Marked influx of Beamers. We never had a lot of those. People here were more apt to have World war II surplus four wheel drives! There were always lots of Pick up trucks, and SUV are still really popular! The style among our young is no longer "muscle cars," as it was, when we were kids. Now they want old Bronco's with huge tires on them to run through the river banks and deep mud puddles! (I hate what they do to the river banks in the Nat'l forests! Now we have police out there, too!)
Can you see the New shiny Beamers with chains all the way round!!!
The white knuckle drivers should be "seasoned" by now! Either that or they have deep "grip bites" in their steering wheels.....not to mention the big "butt bite" marks in their car seats!!! What a way to treat a BEAMER!
Idaho has new laws about how much pollutant you can add to the air...They are going to put our old cars into a room and let them run for a while, then measure how much pollutant is in the room. Classic cars are exempt! My old car is 20 years old! No matter what shape it is in! It is considered a classic car! Poor old thing! It still uses no oil, but I have to do a LOT of work on it. It is getting so the headliner hangs like an old lace curtain! I hate it when it hangs down in my hair! The seats rock around...My Honey, the Mechanic found a lose bolt on the floor! He put said bolt "up" till he could find where it belonged! When my seat rocked back as I was getting myself up, it dawned on him.......Now he can't remember where he put the bolt to keep it "SAFE!"
Old Age is NOT for the faint Heart! It IS however preferable to the alternative...A young death!
